What is RockOps?
RockOps is Rockshield's construction ERP — it runs a project end to end, from setup and estimates through procurement, site progress, and contractor payments, so a figure entered on site and a figure reconciled in finance are the same figure.
This wiki collects step-by-step guides for using it, each one a walk through the real screens.
Start here
Two things have to exist before a project can be created at all, and neither is obvious from the project form: a department, and an employee holding the Project Manager organization role. If you are setting up a fresh organization, read Add an employee first — the System role field on its Employment step is what grants that role.

Projects
Create a single-unit project
Set up a standalone build — one villa, one shed, one bridge — with its client, site, planned window, and project manager.
Create a multi-unit project
Set up a project made of many units — an apartment block, a villa row, a phased layout — and land straight in unit setup.
Add units to a project
Define a unit type, then create a block of units from it in one batch.
Build a unit's estimate
Fill in a unit's Bill of Quantities — sections, line items, and a contingency — in a builder that saves as you type.
Submit and approve an estimate
Move an estimate from draft to approved — what locks, who decides, and how to reopen one that has already been signed off.
Staff a project
Put your own people on a project's reporting tree, and engage the contractors who will do the work.
Procurement
Add a material
Register a material in the catalogue so it can be priced, ordered, and drawn on by BOQs and purchase orders.
Add a contractor
Register a contractor in the master register so they can be assigned to projects, given a rate card, and paid.
Raise a purchase order
Order materials against a project — pick the catalogue items, name the vendor, and either park it as a draft or send it straight into approval.
Record material consumption
Issue material from a project's stock to the work that used it, and read the ledger that keeps the balance honest.

Record a work log
Log what a contractor did on a given day, priced from their rate card — the entry that eventually becomes a payment.
Record a contractor payment
Settle a contractor's approved work — gross, TDS, and the net that actually leaves the bank.
Site app
Give a site supervisor access
Turn an employee into a site-app user — a login, an invitation, and a place on a project's team.
Sign in to the site app
Get into the site supervisor's phone app, find your way around its three tabs, and switch between projects.
Post a daily site update
Report the day's work from site — what was done, against which milestone, with photos, and whether anything is blocking progress.
Raise a buy request from site
Check what is in stock at your site and ask the office for more of a material before you run out.
